The Black Hole : A short Film
The film might be really short, but it is very impactful, it shows a man who can not resist his own temptations and greedy thoughts about all the given possibilities in his situation.
This film is set in an office environment, featuring only one character. They showed the excellent acting of Napoleon Ryan, who plays Charlie. From the establishing shot the viewers can tell that his character is working in a boring office job from the dull, monotonous colour scheme alongside the repetitive sound of printing. He's shown as an ordinary tired office worker who one day had accidentally photocopied a black hole on a paper while he was working late at night all alone. This black hole has given him an opportunity to pass and reach through any objects.
The film does not include any dialogue, but the actor was able to express all his thoughts through his expressions, showing his gradual transition from curiosity to greed. The use of graphic technologies and sound here also helps the audience to quickly immerse themselves in the suspenseful atmosphere of the film.
The overall message the film is trying to convey to the audience is the tale of how human greed can consume people and pursuing this greed has its own consequences. Watching this film will not take much time hence definitely making it a worthwhile watch, with not only its suspenseful atmosphere but also for it's humorous ending.
